Riot Client is the central hub and launcher where you can play popular games such as Valorant, League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and more. They all belong to Riot Games1.
Riot Client sometimes continuously crashes or takes up a huge disk space so many people wonder if and how they can remove it.

Whether you want to free up some storage or want to lessen your screen time playing these games, it’s essential to know how to uninstall them and get rid of unnecessary files.
However, several users have reported issues that they can’t uninstall the app because the built-in Windows uninstaller is missing. So, it does not show up in the Program Files or elsewhere. Even if you try to search, it does not show up at all.  Stay tuned as we delve into uninstalling Riot Client from your Windows 10/11 PC.

Do You Need to Remove All Traces of Riot Client Games & Its Additional Programs?

Riot Client app on your PC may store personal information and might share it with other parties. Even if you’re not using it, the files are still there on your Windows 10/11 PC, which increases the risks of being vulnerable to security threats. It can also slow down your OS or might affect other applications installed on your computer.

Before you proceed with uninstalling the Riot client, it is essential to understand what other components do. For example, Riot Vanguard is an anti-cheat program that’s required to play certain Riot Client Games. In most cases — without deleting it — you won’t be able to delete the whole client.
With that said, if you decide to never play Riot Games, it’s recommended to delete the Vanguard and remove all other related files.
